“Hi Chris,
First of all thank you very much for making this flight possible. As my mum was leaving that night, I didn’t have many options open for flights. Even though the weather was not great, at least my mum was able to join in, and can now boast about this experience!
Also thank you..We both enjoyed it especially as we could both have a window seat. The seat is the better for overlooking China island.
Kind regards”

“The helicopter ride was absolutely spectacular, from the welcome at The Peninsula Lobby, to the pre-flight briefing in The China Clipper lounge on the 30th floor ( make sure you have enough time for this lounge is in itself worth exploring and will take you right back to the early days of air travel) and boarding all was so impeccably professional and with the subtle Peninsula touches of great hospitality. The 15 minute flight itself was so smooth and just mindboggling for its vistas. We enjoyed the best weather and where blessed with a clear sky and great visibility. The mainland deserves some kudos for having shut down all the factories just prior to CNY. Your Canadian pilot was not only giving us a smooth ride, but he was a good tour guide with a great sense of humour. If you ever thought that China was made up only of sky scrapers and densely populated areas, take this ride and you will be amazed to see these beaches and the greenery of these hills, most of them preserved as country parks. Our take off was at 12 noon on January 31st 2014 and the flight was to honour our visiting cousin and his spouse from Europe.
To finish off in style we enjoyed a perfectly prepared luncheon at Gaddis, The Peninsula’s long established culinary heaven. Both, the helicopter ride from the roof and the luncheon at Gaddis are highly recommended.”

“Having travelled to China a few times I thought I had done all the tourist attractions but nothing could have prepared me for seeing China by air in a helicopter! Not only do you see the beautiful beaches and rural areas that you do not associate with the city, you see the historic, busy harbour and the hustle and bustle of the city. You also get to have a glimpse of how the wealthy live by starting and finishing your tour from the top of the iconic Peninsula hotel. The whole experience is just out of this world, I would highly recommend it! Even on a cloudy day you see so much! I have been lucky enough to experience the tour a few times now and I take all my friends that visit Hong Kong!”
