Inner Mongolia Ghost City Aerial Tour: Ordos, The "World's Largest Ghost Town," by Airplane

CFA's Ordos Aerial Tour can be enjoyed in daytime and covers the bizarre dystopian cityscape of the world's largest ghost city, meant for a million people who never showed up,  including the main monuments and housing developments, and absolutely one of the most surreal stretches of China.

Day Flight: Glimpse the silent corners of the deserted shell city of a million people when there is daylight. (At night the lights are off!)

Best Price: CFA clients can rest assured with a low price guarantee on this tour, for our valued flyers.

Each route includes:

The government and residential quarters and the urban landscapes of the "city of the future" that never was, all the monuments, all aerial views, and opportunities for photography.

The aircraft is usually a Diamond DA40 and expensive for this sky cruise, but we can adapt to special circumstances, requests, and groups. The minimum viable cost for an aerial tour is indicated above. We can also do longer flights farther into Inner Mongolia upon request

*All flights with CFA for Ordos tours leave from DSN airport (IATA code.) Contact us for directions or see our voucher and location map accompanying the confirmation of this tour.

Reseñas

"The helicopter ride was absolutely spectacular, from the welcome at The Peninsula Lobby, to the pre-flight briefing in The China Clipper lounge on the 30th floor ( make sure you have enough time for this lounge is in itself worth exploring and will take you right back to the early days of air travel) and boarding all was so impeccably professional and with the subtle Peninsula touches of great hospitality. The 15 minute flight itself was so smooth and just mindboggling for its vistas. We enjoyed the best weather and where blessed with a clear sky and great visibility. The mainland deserves some kudos for having shut down all the factories just prior to CNY. Your Canadian pilot was not only giving us a smooth ride, but he was a good tour guide with a great sense of humour. If you ever thought that China was made up only of sky scrapers and densely populated areas, take this ride and you will be amazed to see these beaches and the greenery of these hills, most of them preserved as country parks. Our take off was at 12 noon on January 31st 2014 and the flight was to honour our visiting cousin and his spouse from Europe. To finish off in style we enjoyed a perfectly prepared luncheon at Gaddis, The Peninsula's long established culinary heaven. Both, the helicopter ride from the roof and the luncheon at Gaddis are highly recommended."
